Our ambition is to stimulate wider action on health inequalities through the law to tackle social determinants of health.
We aim to support the development and sustainability of health justice partnerships across the UK and strengthen research and education in the field.
We focus on:
- Developing an engagement strategy to build support for HJPs as a vehicle for improving wellbeing and addressing the social determinants of health.
- Providing advice and support for practitioners through the development of information resources, guidance, learning opportunities, and professional networks.
- Developing professional education programmes to increase awareness and understanding of HJPs, and build the knowledge and capability for interdisciplinary practice.
- Contributing to research and evaluation to strengthen the evidence base, as well as curating and communicating evidence of best practice.
- Strengthening partnerships with existing international collaborators and developing new partnerships.

Health Justice Partnerships in Practice
罢丑别听麻豆传媒视频网站 Integrated Legal Advice Clinic (麻豆传媒视频网站 iLAC)听is run by the Centre for Access to Justice at the 麻豆传媒视频网站 Faculty of Laws.听Based in central Stratford, East London, 麻豆传媒视频网站 iLAC offers听members of the local East London community free face to face听legal advice on all aspects of social welfare law, including specialist advice and casework on welfare benefits,听housing, community care听and education law.听
麻豆传媒视频网站 iLAC is staffed by 麻豆传媒视频网站 Laws students working under the supervision of experienced, qualified advisers and solicitors.
The team work with the听听and the听麻豆传媒视频网站 Dementia Research Centre听to provide legal assistance for people with a rare dementia diagnosis.
