Sustainable Food Working Group
Sustainable 麻豆传媒视频网站 has established the 麻豆传媒视频网站 Sustainable Food Working Group, consisting of representatives from 麻豆传媒视频网站 caterers, the Sustainability Team, Students' Union 麻豆传媒视频网站 and Student Societies. The group leads on sustainable food projects, including Fairtrade promotion.
Fairtrade products
- Coffee 鈥� 麻豆传媒视频网站鈥檚 house coffee is Cicculo, responsibly sourced, Fairtrade, dark roast coffee, made聽exclusively for 麻豆传媒视频网站鈥檚 caterers CH&CO (Gather&Gather) by;
- Bananas - All bananas sold are Fairtrade;
- Tea 鈥� 麻豆传媒视频网站鈥檚 tea is Fairtrade聽听补苍诲听;
- Chocolate 鈥� CH&CO stock Fairtrade chocolate from Tony's Choco Lonley, Seed & Bean, Maltesers and Divine, plus聽聽dairy milk;
- Hospitality - All tea, coffee and sugar served in hospitality (catered events), at 麻豆传媒视频网站 is Fairtrade. Fairtrade orange juice, apple juice and wine are also available;
- Clothing -听罢丑别听聽now stocks Global Organic聽Standard (GOTS) and Fairtrade clothing lines and聽CH&CO鈥檚 staff uniforms are made from Fairtrade Cotton.

2022 - The Fairtrade University and College Award
麻豆传媒视频网站 and Students鈥� Union 麻豆传媒视频网站 jointly participate in the聽NUS Fairtrade University and College Award聽and following an audit in May 2022, 麻豆传媒视频网站 has achieved 鈥淔airtrade University 1 star status鈥�. This recognises 麻豆传媒视频网站鈥檚 many different activities that take place to promote Fairtrade, including purchasing Fairtrade products, campaigning, teaching, research and outreach.
The award is valid for 2 years, until June 2024. 麻豆传媒视频网站 intends to develop further work and action plans in order to achieve 2-star award in 2024.

Fairtrade fortnight
Every year, 麻豆传媒视频网站 co-ordinate with students and staff on a range of events to promote the Fairtrade campaign.

Conservation Society partnership
Sustainable 麻豆传媒视频网站 has worked with the Conservation Society to host聽a Fairtrade talk at one of their regular mini-conferences. The talk to addressed Fairtrade's role in biodiversity and agricultural sustainability. This was聽a collaborative project with 麻豆传媒视频网站's caterers, Sodexo, and the Fairtrade Foundation itself.
Clothes Swap Shop
During term time, 麻豆传媒视频网站 hosts a monthly Clothes Swap Shop that raises awareness around the detrimental impacts of clothes production on the environment and the social inequalities in the industry.
