Zero food waste Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾

Zero Food Waste Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ (ZFW) is a student-run volunteering initiative with the primary aim of reducing food waste on campus by collecting unsold food or hospitality leftovers.

Collected food is then redistributed to homeless shelters near campus.

ZFW also works to raise awareness of food waste and tackle global food insecurity.

In their first year, theyÌýsaved over 700 food items from campus.Ìý

Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ cafes have considerably reduced the amount of food they order. This is evident as the number of items needing to be saved has markedly decreased over the past three years, to about a third of the initial amount.
