When to arrive at Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾

Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ will be running International Week a week before Term 1 starts in September 2024 (Monday, 16 September–Sunday, 22 September). There will be lots of in-person events and chances to meet new people!

You don't have to arrive during International Week.ÌýBut, you want to make sure that you arrive with enough time to settle in before termÌýstarts. This can includeÌýmoving into your accommodation, opening a UK bank account, registering with a GP, and exploring Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾'s campus. Getting things sorted out first will make your start to Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ life as smooth as possible.

Things to consider

Of course, there are things to consider if you choose to arrive early.

For students staying in Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Accommodation, youÌýmay need to submit anÌý. This can be done on the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Accommodation Portal after you haveÌýaccepted your offer. This also means you will need to pay for any days extra days you spend in Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Accommodation.

The same extra costs will applyÌýif you are staying in private accommodation (non-Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Accommodation). However, this will need to be arranged directly with your private accommodation.
