How to pay your tuition fees

This guidance explains how you can find out what your programme will cost and the different ways you can pay your tuition fees.Ìý

Paying fees - reminder

Fee cannot be paid in person atÌýStudent Support and Wellbeing Services. Please see below forÌýdetails of how to pay.

Every student is charged a fee for the duration of their studies atÌýÂ鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾. ThisÌýfee covers all elements of your registration, enrolment, tuition, supervision and examination for each full or part academic year for which you are enrolled. It also includes membership to the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Students' Union. It doesn't cover living costs, books, materials or travel. Programme feesÌýincrease annually and are published approximately 14 months before the next academic year begins.

When you accept your place at Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾, you acceptÌýresponsibility for ensuring yourÌýfees are paid, whether that is by you, by a loan or through sponsorship or funding.

How much you should pay

For mostÌýnew students,Ìýtuition fees will be quoted on your offer letter. Programme feesÌýfor all new students may also be viewed in our online fee schedules.

Continuing studentsÌýcan view their upcoming fees for the year in Portico, whichÌýis usually updated over the summer. Many fees are subject to inflationary increases of up to 5% annually, so your fees mayÌýgo up each year. The exceptions are UK Undergraduates, whose fees are capped at £9,250 by the UK Govt, andÌýoverseas Undergraduates and Postgraduate Taught students, whose fees are now fixed at the point of entry.

Part-time

Part-time studentsÌýare charged each September forÌýthe upcoming year. Your fees for the first year of study are on the relevant online fee schedule and in the prospectus. You can pay for each yearly feeÌýinÌý3 instalments.

Modular (flexible) students

Postgraduate Taught and MRes students enrolled asÌýmodularÌýare charged each September forÌýthe upcoming year andÌýfee will be generatedÌýin PorticoÌýafter the module selection deadlineÌýhas passed. The fee each year isÌýbased on the credit value of the modules you are taking. You can pay for each yearly fee in 3 instalments.

If modules are added,Ìýremoved or changed during the year, please checkÌýPortico andÌýcontact Student FeesÌýif you think your fees need re-calculating.

Repeat fees

Repeating full-time, part-time or Modular

Undergraduates and Postgraduate Taught students pay fees based on the number of creditsÌýbeingÌýrepeated.ÌýVisit Section 9 of the Academic Manual for further information about Repeat fees.
