Karaoke Night with the SU

Student Support and Wellbeing Services have teamed up with the Students' Union Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Societies to offer you a free taster session of karaoke.

Take a break from studies and enjoy an evening of singing to your favourite songs. Whether you're completely new to singing or a total pro, this friendly taster offers a welcoming, non-judgemental environment for you to relax and meet new people. If you think you know your pop music, you can also take part in our 'Guess the Singer' game!

Mics will be supplied at the event and karaoke lyrics will be displayed on a large screen. Please note that this will be a non-alcoholic event.

The benefits of singing and karaoke

  1. Stress management: singing releases endorphins that reduce stress and anxiety.
  2. Physical exercise: singing engages your entire body and acts as a full-body workout. Diaphragmatic breathing used in singing improves your posture, breathing pattern and relieve tension.
  3. Emotional release: singing can be therapeutic, helping you to process your emotions and let go of your everyday worries.
  4. Social bonding: karaoke is a fun and relaxed setting to meet people and forge new friendships. The shared experience of singing creates a sense of community and belonging.

Spaces are limited, so please be sure to book your ticket in advance.
