Romana Sustar

With over 20 years of experience in language education, Romana Å uÅ¡tar is a distinguished educator who joined the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ School of Slavonic and Eastern European Languages as a Slovene tutor in October 2017. She holds a Master’s Degree in Art History and Slavic Studies from Karl-Franzens-University Graz, a leading institution for Slovene studies since 1811. Romana has an rich history of teachingÌýprofessionals from diverse fields, including diplomats, such as the Ambassador to Slovenia at the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Romana has developed an innovative and immersive language teaching method, shaped by overÌý7000 hours of online training experience. She is deeplyÌýcommitted to enhancingÌýeducational processes, sharing best practices, creatingÌýlearning materials, connecting her students with Slovenia and Slovenians and integrating new technologies in teaching. As a learning designer, romana collaborated with academic institutions and the corporate sector globally, always striving for excellance in education. She views teaching as a lifelong journey and takes great pride in the achievements of her studnets and clients.Ìý

In addition to her teaching role, Romana serves as an assessor for the Slovene language and is the Chair of the German Language Society at the Chartered Institute of Linguists in the UK. In her leisure time, she enjoys learning new languages, photography, engaging with social media, and running.
