Hi there! I'm Tianxing Zhou, the Student Representative for the Immersive Factual Storytelling MA atÌýÂ鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ East. I'm here to study interactive Virtual Reality experiences, spatial audio, and storytelling techniques. As a member of Gen Z and a female with dual roles of a Bachelor in Computer Science and a Sci-Fi writer, I really appreciate Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾'s School for the Creative and Cultural Industries as it offers an interdisciplinary environment that highly values the creative human perspective that enables me to integrate technology with arts and culture effectively in our fast-evolving world, as well as to pursue the direction I'm passionate about exploring.

At Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ East, the cutting-edge technology, the outstanding faculty members from the BBC VR Hub, diverse campus activities, and extraordinary peers with various backgrounds have all contributed to making my campus experience exceptionally satisfying, which have not only enhanced my professional expertise and skills but have also fostered a deep sense of inclusiveness and diversity.

TheÌýImmersive Factual Storytelling MAÌýsits within Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøվ’s new School for the Creative and Cultural Industries (SCCI), linkingÌýteaching and research focused on art and creativity, technology, media, history, and collections and conservation.

All our programmes are interdisciplinary in nature and focused on enabling students to develop their critical thinking, creativity, and practical skills to engage with contemporary social and environmental challenges, and to prepare the next generation of practitioners for work in the creative and cultural sectors.

The site encourages collaboration across different disciplines, with hands on teaching and learning, offering students the opportunity to learn from each other, academics, and practitioners to shape the future of the cultural and creative industries.
