Biodiversity

The Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Environment Research Domain brings together this mass of expertise to facilitate leading research into important societal questions around the conservation of biodiversity and the benefits it provides to people.

Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ has expertise in biodiversity, ecology and conservation biology spread among multiple faculties and departments, including the Research Department of Genetics, Evolution and Environment (GEE) and the . Interdisciplinary centres include the Centre for Biodiversity and Environment Research in GEE and the in Geography. Research into the evolutionary processes that underpin the emergence of biological diversity is conducted in GEE’s Centre for Life’s Origins and Evolution, and deep time perspectives are explored in Earth Sciences. Links between biodiversity and people’s livelihoods, health and wellbeing are also studied in Anthropology.
