The Controversial Discussions are one of the shaping events of British psychoanalysis and of the continuing history and dynamics of the British Society. On the sixtieth anniversary of the series of extraordinary meetings and the position papers presented at them, the Psychoanalysis Unit at 麻豆传媒视频网站 presents the opportunity to think about both the situation that led to the Controversial Discussions and the ongoing effects not only of聽 the solution arrived at聽 (the so called 'gentlemen's agreement') but of the聽 personal and institutional traumas聽 suffered and the extent to which they have been superceded.
