Support and services over the summer break

If you’re staying at Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ over the summer, remember that all of our services and student support will be open and available throughout the summer break.

Library opening hours will remain as normal over the summer, except on 29 June when most (other than the Student Centre and Science Library) will be closed. You can find opening hours for all the libraries on our website; please check before visiting to find out the latest service updates.

Student Support and WellbeingÌý

Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Student Support and Wellbeing remains open to students throughout the summer period. Make an appointment with the Disability, Mental Health and Wellbeing team to access support. Outside of working hours, students can contact Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ 24/7 Student Support Line on +44 (0) 808 238 0077, for free online and telephone counselling support. The Support Line is a free, confidential wellbeing support service available 24 hours a day, sevenÌýdays a week, 365 days a year. Find out more on the Student Support and Wellbeing website.

The remainder of Student Support and Wellbeing services (including Student Psychological and Counselling Services and the Student Enquiries Centre) remain open, and you can contact them through askÂ鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾.Ìý

For emergency support, including a mental health crisis, always phone 999 (or an equivalent number overseas) or make your way to the accident and emergency (A&E) department at your local hospital. The closest A&E to Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ is at , while you can also contact by calling their support line on 020 3317 6333 or visiting their hospital site in St Pancras. Both are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The can be contacted in the UK on 116 123 at any time, and everything discussed is confidential.Ìý

Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Museums

The Grant Museum will be closed until autumn 2023.

The Art Museum is likewise only open during Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ term time;Ìýit will close on Friday 9 June and reopen on WednesdayÌý27 September.

The Petrie Museum is closed from Monday 19 June toÌýFridayÌý28 July, and will reopen on Saturday 29 July. The Petrie’s standard opening hours for the duration of the summer thereafter will be 1–5pm,ÌýTuesday to Friday and 11am–5pmÌýon Saturdays.
