If you're thinking about undertaking a global opportunity over the summer, you may like to consider the following options, the deadlines for which are rapidly approaching!

Global Opportunities

Tuition Fee Free Summer Places
This scheme provides places on partner institution summer schools on a tuition fee free basis. Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Abroad has nine different programmes available across leading institutions in Asia and Australia which will provide interesting and exciting summer opportunities for the selected participants. To be considered for one of these places, you’ll have to complete an online application which can be accessed via Portico. The application deadline is 23.59 on Monday 4ÌýFebruary 2019.Ìý

Please note that the places on this scheme are open to non-finalist undergraduate students only. Some opportunities are also only open to students from certain departments/faculties, so please check the eligibility requirements for each programme before you apply. The eligibility requirements are also listed via the link above. Ìý

Volunteering Opportunity in Fiji
Through our partnership with , Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ students now have the chance to volunteer with Think Pacific in rural Fijian schools, implementing education, health and sports development initiatives in partnership with the Fijian Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health & Ministry of Youth and Sports. Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ China Programme
The provides a three-week study experience at leading Chinese universities, covering Chinese language, culture, and business. ÌýInteraction with Chinese students, academic staff, local families, and businesses is structured into a programme of language courses, workshops, trips, and excursions.

Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ China is managed by the University of Manchester and generously funded by the UK Government Department for Education. All tuition and accommodation fees are funded; students finance their own travel and living costs though. Eligible Participants will also be welcome to apply for additional funding through Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Abroad.

The application process will close on Friday 15 February 2019. Applications will be processed in the order they are received, so students interested in the programme are encouraged to submit as early as possible.Ìý
