Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾U Liberation Networks win NUS awards

This year has proved to be very successful for Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾U's liberation networks with the Disabled Student's Network and the Women's Network both picking up National Unions of Students award.
Earlier this month the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾U Disabled Students' Network received the NUS Campaign of the Year award for their work on .
The Try it! campaign asked people to take on a number of educational and participatory challenges to better understand the physical barriers many disabled students, staff and visitor face when navigating the university campus.
A documentary has been made about the campaign which is being launched on Thursday 21 May and work has begun by Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾U in partnership with Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ to make Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ more accessible.
Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾U's Women's Network convened by the sabbatical Women's Officer
Annie Tidbury was awarded women's Group of the Year at the NUS Women's
Conference back in March.
They were commended for their work implementing Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾U's Zero Tolerance to Sexual Harassment policy which included a fortnight of activities including training students and staff. More than 160 student societies have also now pledged to tackle sexual harassment.Ìý
