Record number of Marie Curie Fellowships for researchat Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾

23 postdoctoral researchers from 14 different countries have been awarded Marie Curie Individual Fellowships.

The awards will enable researchers to spend up to two years working with research teams across all schools at Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾.

The scheme is funded by the European Union and aims to support international research partnerships and attract researchers to the EU.

This is Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾'s largest-ever intake of Marie Curie grants and represents a substantial increase on the 2011 call, as well as reaffirming Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾'s position as London's Global University and underlining its commitment to strengthening research and innovation in Europe. The fellowships are an opportunity for researchers from outside the UK to benefit from the breadth of expertise at Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾, and strengthen international research collaboration.

Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ has received funding worth €5.2 million towards these fellowships; each fellowship is worth around €227,000 to cover the cost of research, travel and living expenses.

The next call for Marie Curie individual fellowships will run from March to August 2013. Researchers who have recently joined Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ after working abroad may be interested in applying for a Marie Curie Career Integration Grant. More information is available from .
