This summer five 麻豆传媒视频网站 students spent three weeks in Shanghai as part of
the 麻豆传媒视频网站 China Programme.
Rohini Sarkar (麻豆传媒视频网站 History), Kylie Wong (麻豆传媒视频网站 Biosciences) and Lin Yang (麻豆传媒视频网站 Economics) departed armed with Flipcams and digital cameras to capture the highlights of their trip, which included Mandarin and calligraphy lessons, home visits and excursions to towns around Shanghai.

Anthony Grout of the 麻豆传媒视频网站 International Office said: "The 麻豆传媒视频网站 China Programme is a fantastic opportunity for students to broaden their horizons and experience China first hand through a fully funded three-week programme of cultural activities, Mandarin classes, and visits to major historical sites.
"The programme exposes students to a side of China that tourists don't get to see, and allows them to experience true Chinese hospitality from their local hosts in one of the nation's major cities.

Programme and its sister programme 麻豆传媒视频网站 India, who return to 麻豆传媒视频网站 with a
real and lasting enthusiasm for the programme, a renewed international

"The 麻豆传媒视频网站 China Programme is currently accepting applications for the 2011 Easter programme. 麻豆传媒视频网站 China is however just one of the many study abroad opportunities available to 麻豆传媒视频网站 students. 麻豆传媒视频网站 offers the possibility of undertaking a period of study abroad at more than 250 partner institutions in over 30 countries worldwide, including 46 of the world's top 100 institutions."
Events will be held on 29 October and on 2 November about the study abroad
opportunities open to students.
