The campaign will run for the next two years.

Kwesi said: "Winning this award is very special and I am very grateful to the NUS for recognising the work that I have done to give black students at Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ a platform to share their opinion about their experience at Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ and to give Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ an opportunity to hear from them how best Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ could support them while they are here.

"Since I am returning to Jamaica in September, I have met with the outreach department to work with the transition programme which will help black students adjust here at Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾. This will work in conjunction with induction programmes as well as the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾U Afro-Caribbean Society, ACS."
