Description
The dissertation project is a key part of the programme. You will develop your research question in collaboration with the course director, lecturers and researchers. You will produce a 10,000-word dissertation on a topic related to the main themes of the programme. You will also create a poster for an exhibition, which is the final taught event of the course. You have the opportunity to work with staff from across Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ for your dissertation project. You are also encouraged to work with partners from outside of Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾, and this is facilitated by the wide-ranging research links that Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ has with many organisations.
Including the following contents but not limited to
- Structure of dissertation process, developing a research topic, and good practice suggestions
- Finding, interpreting, and using evidence in academic writing
- Research ethics, data, and risk assessment
- Presentation of qualitative and quantitative research methods, and basic statistics workshops
- Poster presentation and advice on research proposals
