Description
The module builds upon the finance, macro and microeconomic literatures to provide insights of the complex nature of infrastructure sectors and organisations, emphasising the public and private interfaces. The development of business cases will be explored comparing and contrasting different characteristics and models across infrastructure sectors. The module will provide an understanding of the connections throughout the project life-cycle, from demand forecast, through business cases until the implications to the financial performance of the organisations delivering major infrastructure projects (e.g. infrastructure agencies, Special Purpose Vehicles).
Aims of the module
The module aims to provide an understanding of the economic and financial drivers behind business cases, highlighting their constraints and leverages to inform their decision-making process during different phases of the project life-cycle.
