Description

This module lies at the intersection of psychology, criminology and the law. It will demonstrate how psychological theory and research can contribute toward a better understanding of the criminal justice system and efforts to detect, punish and rehabilitate offenders. The structure of the module approximates a journey through the criminal justice system, with lectures organised around three core areas: psychology and criminal investigations, psychology and the legal process, and punishment, treatment and rehabilitation.
