Climate change is a global challenge for heritage. This module will explore the intersection of climate change and heritage. In this module you will learn about different methods for evaluating the impacts and risks posed by climate change to heritage, develop an understanding of state-of-the-art sustainable management and adaptation strategies, and explore conceptual aspects of our relationship with heritage in a climate-changed future. You will learn how key heritage science concepts, such as degradation, value and damage, can be used to interpret the impacts of climate change. This module will emphasise the role of research and policy in informing heritage management considering the challenges posed by climate change.
