Description

Advanced Teaching Skills will develop your critical understanding of learning theory and your ability to use it to inform practice. You will recognise and critically analyse key educational theories and integrate theory into teaching practice.Ìý You will learn how to use feedback to motivate learners and analyse the impact of feedback on learning.

After taking this module, you should be able to recognise and critically analyse key educational theories including, but not limited to: adult learning theory, social cognitive theory, self-directed learning and situated learning.Ìý You will integrate learning theory into teaching practice and be aware of the theoretical approaches that could be relevant to different educational situations.Ìý You will also look at theory relating to the motivation of learners and apply this appropriately to address barriers to learning.

This module is assessed through a 3000 word coursework assignment carrying 100% of the final mark
