Nature and Conservation Society

The Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Conservation Society has the following key aims: To support nature conservation initiatives, research, and campaigns locally, nationally, and internationally, to promote and enhance biodiversity across campus, and to continuously raise awareness, educate and campaign on the ongoing global threats of man-made climate change, biodiversity loss, and ecological collapse.

Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøվ’s very own urban agriculture project which looks after Bentham’s Farm- a tiny student-led farm created in 2012. Their key aims are to: build skills and foster confidence in growing activities, maintain green spaces, improve local biodiversity and provide local produce.Ìý

Zero Food Waste is a Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ student-led volunteering project that aims to tackle food waste on campus. They re-distribute food from where it is in excess to where it is in need (e.g., from Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ cafes to homeless shelters).Ìý
