Professor Alan Thompson, Dean of the Faculty of Brain Sciences and Pro-Provost for London, led the event, commemorating the signing of a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two organisations aimed at shaping a more equitable future for Islington.听

The event brought together a diverse mix of attendees 鈥� academics, students, and representatives from various departments from both 麻豆传媒视频网站 and the Islington Council. From Estates to Advancement, Innovation & Enterprise to public health, housing, and community wealth building, the gathering underscored a commitment to a collaborative, community-driven approach.听

听"Today marks a significant stride towards a fairer Islington," stated Professor Alan Thompson, emphasising the depth of the partnership. "This MoU signifies our shared ambition: creating opportunities for everyone in our vibrant city, irrespective of their background, to thrive and enjoy a better quality of life." 听

Discussing the shared priorities, Professor Thompson also highlighted Islington Council and 麻豆传媒视频网站's ambitious vision for a fairer Islington. "We're not just a university situated nearby; we're committed to being active contributors to the heart and soul of Islington," said Professor Thompson. "This partnership signifies our joint determination to make tangible, positive changes."听

The event also included an address from Islington Councillor, Cllr Santiago Bell Bradford, Executive Member for Inclusive Economy and Jobs, who as a lifelong Islington resident, understands the impact that partnerships like these can have on the local community:
