Academic communication support for MAPS students

We offer tutorials, webinars, workshops, courses, retreats and resources to support you to develop your academic communication and research skills.

The Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Academic Communication Centre (ACC) is for all students, to support you to communicate critically and confidently at university, and to help you understand what is expected of you in your assignments.Ìý

  • GenAI and the writing process workshopsÌýhelpÌýyou take a critical stance towards the use of GenAI tools, particularly for use in the writing process.

  • One-to-one tutorialsÌýcan be used to work on, for example: the language and structure of your writing; to practice a presentation; to discuss learning strategies and the transition to postgraduate study; to help you in understanding the specific requirements and conventions of an assignment that you are working on.

  • Asynchronous resourcesÌýare available on a dedicated Moodle to support you in key areas of academic communication.
