In May this year we informed staff of our intentions to rationalise Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾s web estateÌý

Many site owners came forward and have agreed a plan for the future hosting arrangements for their sites.Ìý

However, we still have a large number of unclaimed sites/web apps for which we have been unable to find an owner.Ìý

ÌýAs we said in the original communication we will now start the process of blocking the unassigned sites from 31 July 2024.Ìý

There are financial and environmental impacts, and reputational and security risks with keeping these unmanaged sites running so it is in all of our interests to bring all of the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ web estate under active management. ÌýÌý
