How to getÌýaccess to edit Drupal websites
Before you startÌý
When editing use Chrome, Firefox or Safari butÌýNOTÌýInternet Explorer
- Find out which website(s) you are going to be editing.
- Ask the Web Content ManagerÌýwhat your role is going to be (If you are Web Content Manager requesting permissions for someone else you will know this information).ÌýIf you do not know who the Web Content Manager is you should ask your Site Owner to check this for you.Ìý
- Log in to the URL of the website in question by putting /user at the end of the URL and clicking on the link 'log in' which is in the first sentence. Alternatively. scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the cross next to 'Contact Us' in the footer.ÌýIf you are going to be editing more than one website, you will need to log in to each individual site.
- Fill in your Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ login credentials.
- Email the Site Owner for your site to request editing access to the site. If you do not know who the Site Owner is check the to find out.Ìý
- Let your Site Owner know:
- that you or the person you are requesting access for have logged in to the site and send them theÌýrelevant site URL
- provide the name,Ìýemail and usernameÌýof the person who needs access
- state what their role is going to be (Web Content Manager or Contributor). To find out more about each role and the permissions visit the roles and publishing page
- The Site OwnerÌýwill grant the editing permissions and let you knowÌýwhen it is done.

Please ensure you or anyone who you will require editing access for have completed the Drupal Training before they begin editing the website.Ìý
