Public History

Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ historians have rich experience working with national heritage institutions, museums and media outlets, as well as local communities in London, and from the university’s own role as a public history provider (through its three on-campus museums and special collections). Our historians include internationally recognised practitioner-researchers in the fields of oral history, documentary film and radio, exhibition curation, digital history, historical dramatisation and heritage-making.

Our Public History MAÌýhas been running since 2022 at the state-of-the-art Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ East facilities and allows students to explore and create history in its myriad forms.
Our research centres also undertake public history:
Centre for the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ of the Legacies of British Slavery (CSLBS)
Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies
Centre for the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ of South Asia and the Indian Ocean World
