The Diana Award is presented by the charity of the same name. It's one of the highest accolades a young person can achieve for social action or humanitarian efforts.

Commenting on his award, Zubair said: “It feels surreal to have won the award. To belong to this group of young humanitarian and social leaders is a huge honour but also brings with it a deep sense of duty and responsibility.â€

Zubair founded ZNotes in 2014, while studying for his master’s in Mathematics at Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾. After recognising a disparity in the access students have to resources globally, he came up with the idea for an online platform to share revision notes more easily. ZNotes now provides resources, advice and support to students all over the world studying for their exams.

The company’s mission is to end educational inequality by providing free access to the highest quality education and empowering young people in becoming global changemakers.

ZNotes currently operates out of BaseKX, Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøվ’s dedicated entrepreneurship hub, run by Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Innovation & Enterprise.
