Professor Andrews, 麻豆传媒视频网站 Mechanical Engineering鈥檚 Professor of Engineering Design, recently entered into Ships and Offshore Structures'聽鈥淗all of Fame鈥�, and was named in an elite group of maritime luminaries, including William Froude, for whom the Royal Institute of Naval Architecture聽(RINA)鈥檚 highest honour in naval architecture is named.

A 麻豆传媒视频网站 alumnus and an acknowledged international authority on ship design practice and methodology, Professor Andrews聽is a stalwart of聽麻豆传媒视频网站鈥檚 Marine Research Group, having returned to 麻豆传媒视频网站 as a Professor of Naval Architecture, after a distinguished career in the UK鈥檚 Ministry of Defence.

Highlights of Andrews鈥� illustrious and extensive career in ship design and naval architecture include being responsible for the first Trimaran ship build, and submitting plans for a new royal yacht to former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and the British Royal Family.
