One of the highlights in the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ public engagement year is the Provost's Public Engagement Awards. The awards recognise the fantastic work that Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ staff, students and their external partners are doing to open up and carry out research and teaching at Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ with the wider world through collaborative engagement.
Public engagement for the purposes of these public engagement awards is characterised by being based in Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ research, teaching, or learning. At Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ we want to celebrate public engagement activities and projects which have:
A focus on collaborative models of engagement;
Involvement of diverse public groups, particularly those whose voices are heard less often;
A spirit of experimentation from which learning can emerge.
Sadly we have had to delay our awards this year. We will hold an alternative celebration later this year. We are looking forward to sharing who the winners are and their stories with you all! Â Â Â Â
