About Performance Lab

Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Culture presents Performance Lab, where artists, researchers and students explore how live performance can animate research – and how research can inspire art.

Experience cutting-edge research from one of the world’s leading universities, brought to life onstage through theatre, dance, music, comedy, circus, spoken word and technology.

Below are some example projects from Performance Lab:

Performing Place

  • Performing Place broughtÌýtogether live performance artists, Camden communities and researchers in the co-creation of live performance.
  • The initiative began in October 2019 with the commissioning of four Performing Place projects: Rhythms of Fractals & Collective Movement; The Dancing Brain; You Move Me; and Sound Voice: Voice Loss and Identity.
  • Performing Place aimed to build relationships between Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ researchers, the people of Camden and external researchers; create opportunities for knowledge exchange between artists, academics and the people of Camden; and build the skills and experience of artists, researchers, and relevant stakeholder communities by working together.

  • Events and activities bring together Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ research, climate activism and artistic interpretation in unique ways that inspire action and create space for dialogue.
