How to join the Library?

GOSH staff with honorary contractÌý

GOSH staff with a Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Honorary Contract are eligible to access the full range of Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøվ’s electronic library resources, including electronic journals, both on and off-site. Information about how to obtain an Honorary Contract is available on theÌý(under the heading ‘Honorary Appointments’).

You will also need to collect a Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ ID card (to use your library account and for physical library access). This can be collected from Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Security Systems, Andrew Huxley Building between 9.00 – 16.45:

Once confirmation of a Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Honorary Contract is received, you should contact Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøվ’s Information Services Division to get an ISD computing account

Staff and students from Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health or from Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Institute for Global Health

Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ staff and students are automatically registered for the Library.

Staff and students must:

1)Be properly registered with the appropriate central body (e.g. Registry for students, Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ HR for staff)

2) Have obtained a valid Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ ID card from Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Security Services

3) Bring their valid Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ ID each time they visit

Other Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ and non-Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ users, including visitors to Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ departments and short course or taster students

Full membership of the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ GOS ICH Library is open to all Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ degree-level students and full contract staff.
