Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾

We are delighted that our colleague, Sandra Martelli, has just been appointed Professor (Teaching), effective 01 October 2024. Sandra is a higher education expert in higher education design, and up to now has been acting as the Associate Director for the Division of Undergraduate Education at the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Faculty of Life Sciences.

Sandra is also an internationally recognized in the field of and the postnatal ontogeny of humans and living hominoids (great apes and apes).

Originally graduating from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, Sandra Martelli gained her PhD in Comparative and Evolutionary Anatomy, here at Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾, in 2005.  From 2007-2009, Sandra was a Research Fellow in the Centre for Evolution of Cultural Diversity at Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾'s Institute of Archaeology.  While Senior Teaching Fellow in Anatomy, she gained a Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøվ MA in Teaching and Learning in Higher Professional Education 2015. Sandra joined the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Department of Cell & Developmental Biology, of which the Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Centre for Integrative Anatomy is a part, in 2010.
