English Language and Literature

Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ English is one of the most enduring and respected departments of English language and literature in Britain, and is suited for students wishing to immerse themselves in a varied syllabus combining traditional literary skills and modern thought.

European and International Social and Political Studies (EISPS)

Information Studies

Â鶹´«Ã½ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ Information Studies is the only department in the UK uniting programmes in library and information studies, information science, archives and records management, publishing, and digital humanities.

Institute of Advanced Studies

The Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS) provides a space for critical thinking and engaged enquiry within and across conventional disciplinary and departmental boundaries. The IAS aims to create an open and accessible research-based community, bridging traditional ‘artistic’ and ‘scientific’ practices and modes of thought.
